{"id":79,"date":"2017-01-15T21:13:59","date_gmt":"2017-01-15T14:13:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ericlaminc.local\/?page_id=79"},"modified":"2017-11-17T15:08:44","modified_gmt":"2017-11-17T08:08:44","slug":"lam-viec-o-canada","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ericlaminc.ca\/en\/lam-viec-o-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"WORKING IN CANADA"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>WORK WITH AN OPEN WORK PERMIT<\/h2>\n<p>You may work in Canada with an open work permit if you are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Permanent residence applicants who have applied to an office in Canada,<\/li>\n<li>Dependent family members of some permanent residence applicants,<\/li>\n<li>Spouses and common-law partners of some workers and international students,<\/li>\n<li>Refugees, refugee claimants, protected persons and their family members,<\/li>\n<li>Some temporary resident permit holders, or<\/li>\n<li>International graduates who have finished their studying at a Canadian designated learning institution (Post-graduation Work Permit Program)<\/li>\n<li>Some young workers participating in special programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>WORK WITH A EMPLOYER-SPECIFIC WORK PERMIT<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>LMIA-backed job offer: you can work with a closed-condition work permit based on a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC)\/Service Canada. The employer must pursuit the process of LMIA application to offer you a permanent full-time and indeterminate job.<\/li>\n<li>Trade-agreement job offer: you can work with a closed-condition job offer if you are from a specific country that signed a shared trade agreement with Canada and your occupation falls into that trade agreement\u2019s occupation list. A permanent full-time job offer from a qualifying Canadian business entity is a must. (NAFTA, GATS, Cdn-Chile FTA, Cdn-Peru FTA, Cdn-Colombia FTA, Cdn-Korea FTA\u2026 are examples)<\/li>\n<li>Others: you can work in Canada with the intention to perform work that create and maintain significiant social, cultural or economic benefits or opportunities for\/reciprocal employment of Canadian citizens or permanent residents (Intra-company transferee is an example).
